My First Round Word

From the first moment

I held up a ball
Round and colorful
Like a rainbow

From my first word onwards
I could see myself
Crossing borders
Stepping over boundaries
Erasing the straight lines

Intrinsically I understood
That everything intertwines
That every being is alive
That I, with
Everything else included
Am holding up a ball
Between my hands, while
My feet gripping a stance

From then on
Many other things
Happened
And many more things
Did not happen
As usual

For those first few years
I could see clearly
Held the whole world dearly
Sincerely, truly, playfully

Different colors
Colored
My canvas
Since

Since that first moment
It may
Have never been the same again
Never as round, as whole
For all that happened after, has
Tainted body, mind and soul

A little groan
A little grown

A little wiser
A little crazier

A bit
More
Radical

Since that first moment
It may
Have been
Forever
A process
In continuum

Cyclically
Perpetuating
Into
My
Here and now
Place and time

It may be
That life is like a labyrinth
Understood backwards
It must not be a maze
For in hindsight
All is a phase

All is learning
All is development
All is walking
Forwards
Sideways
Upside down

And some say
The future is behind is
Which is why
We do not see it

There is no more sunlight
In the past
For
The sun shines now
And is all ways underway

While the moon
Is rising full
To the occasion
To offer reflection

For me –
This
Is
What I perceive
Conceive and
Retrieve

.
A world where open hearts
Can do
Without surgical intervention

A world of healalls
Every body
Is alive
In every other
Each our
Complete
Selves

Where
Trust
Is
The quality
Of each
Connection

Where
Empathy
Is
Within
Free will

Where
We allow
Decay and collapse
While
We develop
Anew

Where
No more old
Projected paradigms
Allows for change
In
A world where inclusiveness rhymes

Where
Honesty and
Truth
Are synonyms

Where all is different
And all the same difference

A planet
In
Whom

In
Whom
We
Live
Receive
And give

Where
Bees
Are abundant
And hold strong
To surplus

A world where the elemental flows
Where water is wet and
Where fire is hot
Where earth embraces and
Where air transcends
The space
In between
Me and
All other
Us and
Each other

A world where footprints
Are translucent imprints

Where the tree is me
Where you are me
Where we are our selves
Embodied awareness
Present beings

From rock solid
To feather light
From frogs to white horses

From particles to fields
Where spring unfolds
Once a globe around

“Where there are no nouns, only
Very, very slow verbs”

Where there is no need
For peace
For war
Is extinct

Where friction
Aims
To create
Birth
Death
Heat

A world where we walk
To learn
To listen
To perceive
To share
Carefully
All
That needs to be attended to
Essentially

Where the present
Is
Cyclical movement
Of attachment
And detachment
Of identification and
Release without hesitation

A world where we simply do what’s right
Without systematic deprivations
Of systemic boundaries
Our earth below and above
The clear shinning skies
Our lines below and above
Extended verses of our song

.
I am learning by heart
Through
Active observation and participation
Through
Attentive intuition and intention

True
For me
Of myself
More and more

More and more
Change is possible

More and more
Colors of the rainbow
Resonate
Frames and feelings
Inside my canvas
Uncovering borders
Drawing in circles
Of
Intrinsic understanding
That every thing intertwines
That everybody is alive

That the ball will roll on
With or without me
With or without us

While, I understand to feel
Imperatively
To engage my hands
To hold up a ball
Together with us all

From the first moment
Beautifully colorful
Round and whole

Perceiving myself
From my first words onwards

Where many things happened
And much more
Did not happen

And as such
It will continue
For
Now.

Thank you!

Thomas

Systemic Self-Leadership Coach, Change Facilitator, Poet In my experience, our ability to deal with complex challenges, create positive change in any area of life, and contribute to a sustainable impact in the world around us, requires an authentic kind of self-leadership that starts with getting clear where you’ve been, where you are now, what really matters to you, where you really want to go or get, and especially how you will be and grow as a person along the way.
