Frozen Butterflies

Frozen butterflies at night
Frozen butterflies
at night

A broken glass
A torn blanket

I don’t know what to do
Don’t know what to say
Just Don’t know where to go

Did you mean to say

Is that what you think I’d do
If you wanna go – then go

Frozen butterflies at night
Frozen butterflies, at night

Butterflies are beautiful
Butterflies are colorful
Butterflies are cyclical
and Butterflies are untouchable

un-touch-able

Frozen butterflies at night
Frozen butterflies, at night

We look at each other

But can no longer see
Passed the projections
Placed between our beings

We are absorbed

In a field
Full of entanglement
And expectations

We want to be elsewhere

Differently
Just anything
Anything but this

But this

Frozen butterflies at night
Frozen butterflies, at night

Frozen
Our wings barely touching
Our hearts a shield hardened
Our hands bound beyond reach

Frozen
We are lying next to each other
Crying inside

For how distant – and empty
Any answer can be
To a question
Even further away
Even more empty
Even more frozen

Frozen butterflies at night
Frozen butterflies, at night

On the window
Ice crystals
Fingerprints

Frozen
At night

Frozen
Butterflies
At night

Spread the Love

Systemic Self-Leadership Coach, Change Facilitator, Poet

In my experience, our ability to deal with complex challenges, create positive change in any area of life, and contribute to a sustainable impact in the world around us, requires an authentic kind of self-leadership that starts with getting clear where you’ve been, where you are now, what really matters to you, where you really want to go or get, and especially how you will be and grow as a person along the way.
